I am sorry to miss this service project, but it sounds great and I'll pray for all the youth and leaders for opportunities to earn donations and for opportunities to share the Cause.

That is an awesome poem, Rachel, and very much to the point for all of us. God is with us, in us, to help us with the walk and the talk - we just need to ask and do.

Hi Mike -

We are interested in having Olivia go. Do you need adult help as well? Pretty sure Manuel would be willing to help out. We've never been a part of any mission trips yet. What are the requirements?

I'll talk to Kevin about sharing this at our youth group.

Thanks,
Michele

Once I finished reading the book I had tears falling down my face because I had a friend that was just like Jared, she didn't believe that God could do such things in yours or peoples life's, but after we had one of our best friends die in a car crash she started praying for her family to get better after the lost of their daughter, she started coming to Youth Groups with me and our other Christian friends, she stopped cutting herself, she stopped doing bad things behind our backs, and she started reading the Bible. So when I thought she was ready to read this book, Fire Starter, she wanted to become a child of God, so she came with us on a bike trip through one of our churches that all my friends go to, and she was baptized, and she felt a big difference in her life after that. And then she told me and our other friends saying, "It was my fault that we lost our best friend/sister, we got in a big argument about God and stuff, it was late at light, gas was low, and her back lights didn't work...and that's why she was hit by the other car..."
Our friends and I put our hands on her and said, "It wasn't your fault, Amber, you couldn't fix her back lights in time so she could have been seen and you would have been dead if you tried to stop the car from hitting her. And that would make two of our friends dead in one crash, losing one enough for one day in a year, we don't need to lose two in one year. We love you and there is a Father up there that is watching over Ann, she is in good hands now and all we can do now is pray, pray, pray."
Since then we have not lost any more friends.
And right now, my friends and I have been having meetings every day at school, in between work, and at Church. Every weekend when it's nice, we get in a car and drive until we find a place and walk around there asking people what they think about Jesus, we also ask other friends of ours how they became a Christian, why they think Jesus died on the cross for their sins, and what would Jesus want them to do right now or later in their life before they die. We have been doing this for almost 3 years now and we got almost half of our school believing in Jesus Christ.
